Are audis good cars, reliability wise? Do they have electrical probs just like vw?

I like the Audi A4 body wise and they seem to have power, don't know for sure. Im trying to decide between this and a 97-01 prelude. If it has electrical probs, is there anyway to stop it from happening again. thanks
