How is Obama an affirmative action candidate?

Rush Limbaugh says that Obama is an affirmative action candidate. But Obama was at the top of his cl at Harvard law School, while John McCain was fourth from the bottom of his cl at the Naval Academy. So what does affirmative action have to do with anything?
