Help I don't know if I should play the Violin or not?

Your parents should help you with the violin - you can rent a good quality student violin very inexpensively to get you started. Then you can still buy your snowboarding stuff. I'd seriously rent an instrument until you're sure you're going to stick with it. Violin is not for everyone- it takes a lot of dedication and not everyone can deal with the bow.
