How does Shakespeare’s use of satire influence his message in "Sonnet 130"?

That poem satirizes the over-the-top descriptions that poets had traditionally used to praise women's beauty. No real woman has eyes that shine like the sun, skin as white as snow, lips as red as coral, hair like fine golden wires, a voice like music, breath like perfume, etc. The poem says, "I don't have to resort to false comparisons like that to praise my woman's beauty. Her beauty and my love for her are something real, not something based on falsehoods and fantasies."
